9 :- Adil and Suresh are partners in a firm sharing profits and losses in the ratio of 7 : 3. Adil gave 2/10th from his share and Suresh gave 1/10th from his share in favour of Jagan; the new partner. Calculate new profit-sharing ratio and sacrificing ratio.

Solution:-
Calculation of new profit sharing ratio
Adil’s new share = 7/10 – 2/10 = 5/10
Suresh’s new share = 3/10 -1/10 = 2/10
Jagan’s share = 2/10 + 1/10 = 3/10
Thus, New PSR of Adil, Suresh and Jagan is 5:2:3

Calculation of sacrificing ratio of Adil and Suresh
Old ratio – New ratio
Adil = 7/10 – 5/10 = 2/10
Suresh = 3/10 – 2/10 = 1/10
Thus, Sacrificing ratio of Adil and Suresh is 2:1
