6 :- Mohan and Mahesh are partners in a firm sharing profits and losses in the ratio of 3 : 2. Nusrat is admitted as a partner with 1/4th share in profit. Nusrat takes his share from Mohan and Mahesh in the ratio of 2 : 1. Calculate the new profit-sharing ratio.

Solution:- Nushrat share in profits = 1/4
Mohan’s new share = 3/5 – (1/4 x 2/3) = 3/5 – 2/12 = 26 /60
Mahesh’s new share = 2/5 – (1/4 x 1/3) = 2/5 – 1/12 = 19/60
Nusrat’s new share = 1/4 x 15/15 = 15/60
Thus new profit sharing ratio of Mohan, Mahesh and Nusrat is 26:19:15
